The Tort Law Moot Competition (“Tort Moot”) is designed to promote advocacy and excellence in the fields of tort, insurance and health law. The Tort Moot, novel in itself, will enable law students to engage with and think about practical and unsettled areas of the law. The Tort Moot is aimed to provide the participants with the opportunity to interact with jurists of the Provincial Courts and with experienced litigators.
The Tort Moot is a trilateral partnership between all eight Ontario law schools, the OBA Insurance Law Section, and volunteers from the Bar and Bench. The goal of this law student moot competition is to provide a skills-based learning opportunity for law students and lawyers while building relationships between law students, the Bar, and the Bench.
This moot is made possible because of generous volunteer time and generous sponsorship from several law firms. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact us at tortlawmootcompetition@gmail.com.
